Zulufadder’s school, Gratton, is extending the hostel and the school is getting a canteen at the same time.
We won the Children of the Earths prize in 2017 – and this made is possible to get started on such a big project.
We want all the children at school (not just those living at the hostel) to have a proper meal every day. A lot of students come to school without a packed lunch or they only bring a small snack like chips or biscuits.
The canteen building will also be a multi-purpose hall for the school.
