A Vibrant School Environment
A vibrant school community is built brick by brick – and at Gratton, every single building stands as visible proof of generosity from Norway. Over the years, foundations, companies, and individuals have raised both small and large buildings, giving our children safe classrooms, shared spaces, and room for their dreams.
Classrooms built with generosity
When Zulufadder took over Gratton, the school had only six classrooms. With strong support from Norway, we have steadily expanded. Today, we have two campuses and a total of 25 classrooms! Each classroom was funded through earmarked donations and memorial funds – every one with its own story and its own donors.

The Primary School campus
Our youngest learners are based on a separate campus, where existing buildings were rebuilt and renovated into four primary school classrooms.

The Tech Center
One of the newest additions at Gratton is the Tech Center – a building that inspires and equips students for a future where technology and knowledge go hand in hand. Here, teachers and students can use digital tools in class, and the center serves as a resource hub for the entire school.

Science Lab
To give high school students a real opportunity to dive into science, we built and equipped dedicated laboratories. Here, students experience biology, physics, and chemistry in ways that prepare them for higher studies.

Media Center and Library
From the youngest to the oldest — everyone needs books. With the help of our sponsors, Gratton has both a library and a media center – wonderful spaces that open the world for our children.

The Canteen – now a gathering place
The canteen was originally a large project in itself, but it has since taken on an even greater role. Today, the hall is used as a gathering space for the entire school. Here, students share lunch, do homework, attend concerts, and join events with teachers and staff throughout the year.

Other projects
Good toilets and solid playgrounds make the school day easier – and recess more fun. We have renovated and expanded toilets in several areas and set up playground equipment for preschool, primary, and hostel children. Strong, durable structures give more movement and more joy.
