Projects and Fundraising at Gratton

In addition to the major initiatives like school buildings, hostels and teachers, we have also carried out many fundraising campaigns and projects at Gratton. Some have brought joy and community, others have been urgent relief actions when the need was acute. What they all have in common is that they came to life because generous people wanted to give our children a little extra.

Musical instruments and culture

Music and culture are an important part of everyday life at Gratton. With help from Norwegian supporters we have been able to purchase musical instruments, and many children have experienced the joy of playing together. The school choir, dance and cultural projects have given the children a voice and a means of expression – and, perhaps most importantly, a sense of pride.

When the need was urgent

Sometimes we have had to cry out for help, and the response has been nothing short of fantastic! Fundraising campaigns like A Small Cry for Help and came about because we faced a difficult situation and needed support quickly – for projects that may sound a bit dull, but that were absolutely essential.
