A book donation lasts a long time; it can be reread and bring joy and learning to many children.
Filiokus Media got it all started — making it possible for us to buy both new and gently used books so we could reach as many children as possible. By combining new and used titles we achieved a wider range of genres and reading levels, from picture books for the youngest to easy chapter books and subject books for older pupils.
The books were distributed where the need was greatest: Gratton School and its hostels, as well as our preschools. The books are well used in lessons and reading sessions, and we see how new titles capture the children’s curiosity.
