A vibrant school environment is built brick by brick – and at Gratton, every single building is a visible testament to the generosity of Norway. Over the years, many foundations, companies and individuals have built both small and large buildings that have given our children good learning environments, safe gathering places and space for dreams.

Classroom built with the joy of giving

When Zulufadder took over Gratton there were only 6 classrooms at the school, but with the help of Norwegian supporters we have gradually expanded, and today we have two campuses and a total of 25 classrooms! All the classrooms have been built through earmarked gifts and memorial funds, each with their own stories and their own donors.

The primary school on its own property

The youngest are located on a separate small campus where existing buildings were converted and renovated into four classrooms for the elementary school.

The Tek Center

One of the newest additions to Gratton is the Tech Center, a building that both inspires and equips students for a future where technology and knowledge go hand in hand. Here, teachers and students can use digital tools in their teaching, and the center serves as a resource for the entire school.

Science lab

To give high school students a real opportunity to immerse themselves in science, special laboratories were built and equipped. Here, students encounter science, physics, and chemistry in a way that makes them well prepared for further studies.

Media library and library

Both young and old need books and with help from our sponsors we have both a library and a media library, great rooms that open the world to our children.

The cafeteria that became the school's gathering place

The cafeteria was originally a large project on its own – but it has since gained even greater importance, and today the hall is used as a gathering place for the entire school. Here, lunch is eaten, homework is done, concerts are held, and students and staff meet for events throughout the year.

Other projects

With good toilets and sturdy play structures, the day becomes easier and recess more enjoyable. We have expanded and upgraded toilets in several places, and set up play equipment in preschools, elementary schools and boarding schools.
